Recovery from injuries related to distance running brought me to yoga approximately 6 years ago. What started as a way to find better balance in my body led to a more balanced mind and life. With a Master’s degree in counseling, I immediately felt the powerful connection between yoga and emotional well-being. I completed my 200-hour teacher training through a UM Yoga program in Ann Arbor in April 2018 and am certified through Yoga Alliance.
My classes focus on using proper alignment and mindful movement to help students find their own expression and on using the breath to find ease in the sometimes uncomfortable, both on and off the mat. I strive to guide yogis toward developing an awareness of, and appreciation for, the wonderful capabilities of their bodies.
